Alyson Greenfield: Music
Sometimes I
(Alyson Greenfield)
Sometimes I get so sad, I want my first love to be the best one I ever had. Oh, don't you know? Oh, don't you know? I wanna be like Adam and Eve, the only thing covering me would be leaves. But I know it can't be like that. And I know I can't wear that hat. So I stop my wishin' I head to the kitchen, but the only thing there I see is a bunch of pies I can't make, I can't bake, I don't have the recipe. Well, somebody saw me with a knife in the kitchen. Somebody heard me they said I was bitchin'. Somebody saw me with a knife. You say, "Oh, gee reality isn't really where I want to be." Well, touch luck! 'Cause you had a vision of our baby. You had a vision but it could not save me. You had a vision of our baby. I did too. Sometimes the mourning overtakes me. Sometimes my narrative dreamscapes won't escape me. To be a dreamer's a blessing and a curse. It can help you pull through, it can make things worse, but if it was up to you I'd stay at arm's length away from me. Stay at arm's length, stay out of harm's way. Stay at arm's length away from me.
